Research on the Minimum Size of Received Signal Strength Difference Localization Network

Abstract The received signal strength difference (RSSD) localization is a kind of method to locate emission sources by measuring the differences level between monitoring stations and essentially truth value ratios measured strength. In existing literatures, only rule RSSD circle two geometric relation five were analyzed, but number station layout minimum network have not been investigated. present work, first, based on equation, constants commonly used wave propagation models are provided. Then, proved through algebraic analysis, which that four distributed straight line can source at one point. relationship accuracy error location with different scales studied further formulated as nonlinear programming optimization problem. It found stability poor, there serious deviation outlier phenomenon. Therefore, available for radio networks ± 5 10 dB. basically size, nine approach angle arrival (AOA) three stations.
